Adopt
We are not listing dogs yet.
WildBills' Great Dane Rescue is standing up. Foster homes come first. There is no “available now” row on this page because we do not have intake dogs to place, and we will not invent them.
How adoption will work.
- Foster-based. The dog lives in a house, not a kennel building.
- Face-to-face in Florida. We are not shipping a Dane to a stranger.
- Florida law requires sterilization before adoption from a rescue. We will not skip that.
- An adult Great Dane is not a surprise. Plan for a hundred to a hundred-eighty pounds, a short life relative to smaller breeds, and bloat as a real emergency, not a rumor.
- You need a vehicle the dog can actually ride in, floors they can stand on, and a way to keep them from becoming a ten-dog problem at one address.
The photographs on this site are the family pack — Onyx, Apona, Stinker, Penelope, King, and dogs who have lived here. They are not a catalog.
Inquire
Tell us you have room.
If a Dane is already in your head — fence, budget, vet, the size of the dog on hind legs — write it. The application is the contact form. Topic will be set to adopt.
Or call 813-451-2204. Zephyrhills, Florida.
If you cannot wait for our first intake.
Foster with us anyway. That is how the next dog gets a landing place. If you have a Dane you cannot keep, use the contact form with topic Surrender — we may not be able to take the dog today, and we will say so.
